REVIEW – Polly Price’s Totally Secret Diary: On Stage in America by Dee Shulman

6457756This book is about Polly Price and her mum Arabella who is a famous film star. Polly has to go to San Francisco because her mum’s going on stage there and this means that Polly has to deal with lots of things, including two irritating girls and a boy she really likes. She doesn’t know what will happen to her, with one of her worst nightmares coming true…!

This book is in a kind of comic style, with lots of colourful pictures and funny writing. It looks just like a diary and is lots of fun to read. When you pick this book up and start reading it, you just can’t put it down! My favourite characters are Ophelia and Aurora, who aren’t nice but are interesting to find out about, with all that they go through. The pictures in the book make it feel more like you’re reading about someone’s real life than a story.

I enjoyed Polly’s adventures and I really want to read her other diaries even though she begs us not to!
