REVIEW – Jake and Lily by Jerry Spinelli

21049033‘Jake and Lily’ is a book about twins, making friends, breaking friends, and friendship getting tested to the max. The twins’ lives change in the year they turn eleven.

This book is written in Jake and Lily’s point of view with quick chapters and two storylines. One is about bullying and the other is about finding your own life. It’s hard to say which one I preferred because they both went through stages of being exciting, but maybe I enjoyed Jake’s story slightly more. I got into it straight away, while Lily’s story took a few more chapters to get going. My favourite character is Sydney because she’s funny. You meet her quite a way through the book.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars and I recommend it to all ages.
