REVIEW – My Naughty Little Sister by Dorothy Edwards

Naughty Little SisterMy Naughty Little Sister is about a very naughty girl who always gets into trouble. Her stories are told by her older sister, who has to put up with all the mischief!

This book is the first in a series and it contains 15 stories. My favourite story is My Little Sister and the Good Polite Child, which is about a girl who comes over and is very well-behaved, in an annoying kind of way. The girl stuck in my mind after I finished the story. I also really liked The Naughtiest Story of All, where the little sister meets the school Santa and finds him nasty. It was a good Christmas story.

I don’t think you’re ever too old to enjoy these timeless stories! They were first published in 1952, and they feel slightly old-fashioned, but that doesn’t stop them being very enjoyable. There are great illustrations by Shirley Hughes, the author of Dogger and lots of picture books.

By the way, does anyone know the names of either of the sisters? I would love to know!
