It’s party time in the Llewellyn family’s house with all four of their birthdays squashed into one month! Clover’s is first with an Alice in Wonderland theme. Then Tinkerbell, whose magic party is definitely going to happen, and finally, last but not least, Pea and her mum’s. Pea doesn’t know what party she wants. Last year she had one with games, but now that she’s grown up, Pea doesn’t think she can have one like that. She has to have a mature and sophisticated party instead. But parties aside, all she really wants for her birthday is for her dad to turn up…
I’d almost forgotten how good the Pea’s Book series is, but I definitely remembered when I read this one! It made me smile all the way through. I loved meeting the characters again and it was great to read more about what they were up to. The theme of birthdays was really fun. My favourite part of the story was the end because it was unexpected and exciting.
This is the third book in the series, and I have reviewed the first one here and the second one here. Like the others, I recommend these books for boys and girls aged 7+. Pea’s Books are brilliant!
