REVIEW – My Best Friend and Other Enemies by Catherine Wilkins

My Best Friend and Other EnemiesJessica, a girl of many pictures, has a best friend, Natalie. They have been best friends forever except not any more – the new girl Amelia has stolen Natalie and they have been going to McDonalds practically every day. But when Jessica finds out they have made a secret gang called CAC, of all names, she has to fight back.

I think this book shows how important it is to have friends and how, when you don’t, you get really lonely. I recommend this for 8+.My Brilliant Life and Other Disasters

Also in bookshops is My Brilliant Life and Other Disasters by Catherine Wilkins, the sequel, which I am definitely going to buy. It’s out now!
“It’s a new term and Jessica has high hopes, especially as Natalie has chosen to work with her on the class wildlife project. If only Jessica can concentrate and not mess it all up… The comic is coming along brilliantly, too. But then Scarlett rolls into town, with her super-cool attitude and alternative lifestyle. And her cartoons…”
